Local Youth Programs

The Salida Middle School counseling team provides resources for students, families and staff to help create a sense of wellness and of belonging.

We are fortunate to live in a community with incredible resources for our youth and families. Below is some information about some of those programs.

The mission of ElevateHER is to foster self-worth and grit in young women through mentoring, outdoor adventure and holistic wellness programs.

Boys and Girls Club of Chaffee County

The Clubs strive “to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.” The Boys and Girls Clubs of Chaffee County first opened its doors in 2005. A group of community leaders, inaugural board members, city officials, school district leaders and parents worked collectively to create a safe, engaging and positive place for all children in Chaffee County.
